I took a look at your cartoon; guess your contest is 'closed', so I couldn't enter 'my caption' in the area that was designated for giving it a title.

To me, it seemed the 'dilemma' and caption was obvious:

"No one can mash 50 pounds of potatoes with a whisk!"

I was puzzled by the pile of mushrooms in the sink; was that to be somehow incorporated into the caption?

A big caldron of boiling water - were the potatoes going INTO that pot, or had they come out???

No one needs a whisk if the potatoes are going in, so if the other observation that struck me, would seem a bit 'funny', it was:

"Do you know how long it took me to peel those 50 pounds of potatoes with this wire whisk?" I 'see this' in my mind's eye because there's no way to know of those potatoes are 'just peeled' and uncooked, or if there is something else boiling away in that large pot on the stove.

Still, you sure had me stumped with those mushrooms, and it's possible I've missed the 'obvious link' to the two.

So, this is my 'reply' - as to voting, I really didn't like any of the submissions that were selected - guess I'm so old it takes a pretty clever comment to get a laugh from me.

Enjoy your site. Diane
