Cooking Cartoons

Funny Cooking Cartoons To Make You Laugh – When I started The Reluctant Gourmet I was a little shy about putting my own mug on the site so the cartoon version of RG was born. His (my) mistakes became cartoon captions that we could all laugh at. Here is a collection of my RG cartoons. Hopefully you’ll see a bit of yourself in these posts and learn to lighten up and laugh off mistakes, knowing that they are just learning experiences.

Stinky Cheese Cartoon

How come the stinkier cheeses are always the most expensive? This cartoon was inspired by my good friend David Berkowitz who I met when I lived out in Park City, Utah. In fact, David was the first person I met when I moved out West with my wife and one of the most knowledgeable food […]

Watch Those Fingers The idea came to me after sharpening some knives and thinking I need to do this more often.  Some chef friends of mine have told me they sharpen their knives everyday or at least every other day. Yes, they use their knives more in a day than we may in a week, but […]

Gazing Cows

What the Reluctant Gourmet Sees On the Farm When Gazing at Cows I have been really interested in learning more about beef cuts and where on the cow they come from.  I’ve have a post called Steak Cuts that talks about some of the primal cuts and some of the more specific steaks coming from […]
