About Escoffier School of Culinary Arts

Offering prospective students with small class sizes, on average 15 students to 1 instructor, the programs at the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts ensure more individualized attention. Between the hands-on learning in a commercial kitchen, four day a week classes, affordable tuition and expert instructors, Escoffier School of Culinary Arts provides graduates with an expertise culinary education and many employment opportunities.

Professional Culinary Arts Diploma Program

Escoffier School of Culinary Arts is pleased to offer a Professional Culinary Arts Diploma program to prospective students. Made up of five semesters, each a 3-month period, this program is a great way to enter the hospitality field. Students are introduced to the commercial kitchen on the first day of class, representing the commercial industry they will work in. New students may enter the courses every three months, at the beginning of a new term.

Special to Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, students have the opportunity to get real world experience with a 400 hour externship during or after school. Upon graduation from the Professional Culinary Arts degree program, students will be well-prepared to seek employment in commercial foodservice profession.

Pastry Arts Diploma Program

The Pastry Arts Diploma Program is a great program for those interested in building a solid foundation in pastry arts professionally, or non-professionally. Comprised of 618 hours (6 months) of baker and pastry training, graduates will be well prepared for entry to mid-level jobs as a pastry assistant.

A hands-on course of study, the Pastry Arts Diploma Program is accompanied by a 120 hour externship, required by all students. Many externship experiences have led to full time employment for Culinary Academy of Austin alumni.

Financial Aid

Escoffier School of Culinary Arts offers students with Federal Pell Grants and Federal Direct Student Loans through the Title IV programs of the U.S. Department of Education, for those who qualify. Employing instructors with a minimum of 10 years experience in the culinary profession, each instructor at Culinary Academy of Austin has held the title of Executive Chef.
