The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Houston trains you in culinary arts as well as restaurant & catering management. The school was founded in 1965 but joined The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes schools in 1978. In 1990, they moved to its current location at 1900 Yorktown in the Galleria area.
The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Houston occupies 76,000 square feet with state of the art classrooms, three teaching kitchens, a bakery and an al la carte kitchen. The school also runs its own restaurant, Courses and deli called Grab-N-Go run by the aspiring chef students under the watchful eye of the chef instructors.
Programs of Study
Associate of Applied Science and Diploma in Culinary Arts: This degree program builds on the material covered in the certificate course and through experienced instruction gives the student a foundation in hand and knife skills as well as a more in-depth study of baking and pastry preparation.
