About the AAS Culinary Arts Program

Available in a 2-year Associate of Applied Science or 3-year Bachelor of Arts degree format, the Culinary Arts curriculum at The Art Institute of Kansas City is designed to prepare graduates for a variety of culinary arts positions.

Coursework in the Culinary Arts degree program is hands-on, and consists of training in fundamental cooking skills, sanitation, cost control, menu and beverage management, and nutrition. At the Bachelor degree level, the Culinary Arts program also includes instruction in food styling, food and wine pairing, and ethnic cuisines.
