School Restaurant - Petite Passion

petite passion at the art institute of philidelphiaStudents attending the culinary arts program get to show their stuff at Petite Passion to the public. I had the good fortune to dine there on my daughter's class trip that was arranged by Chef Daniel D'Angelo whose daughter went to school with mine. We had a wonderful afternoon touring the various classrooms and kitchens ending up enjoying a fabulous meal at Petite Passion.

It's open for lunches and dinners on Wednesdays and Thursdays while the school is in session but you should call for reservations.

The City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

cooking schools philadelphiaThe "City of Brotherly Love" was founded in 1682 and is one of the most historically, culturally cities you will ever visit. I know, I live here. I would compare it to a smaller version of New York City where it has everything New York has but on a smaller scale. What I like about Philadelphia as compared to New York is accessibility. It is so easy to get into and out of the city to go to restaurants, theatre or sporting event.

In the area of the school you will find all sorts of restaurants at various price ranges, coffeehouses, museums, theatres and you are just minutes away from Center City where you will find everything you would expect to find in a major city. If you are into great markets, there is nothing like the street markets of South Philly or the Market Street Terminal.

The school is an ideal location for college life especially since you will be going to school near some of the nation's most prestigious colleges including University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University and The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
