About Tallahassee
Often called "The Other Florida", Tallahassee is actually nearer to Atlanta than Miami and is much different in attitude, topography, climate and lifestyle. With over 5,000 rooms in more than 50 hotels and motels, Tallahassee offers a blend of Southern-style inns, rustic campsites, family-owned economy lodges and impressive corporate hotels.
From fast food to five-star, Tallahassee serves up an excellent selection of tantalizing restaurants. Tickling the taste buds are specialties ranging from homemade country sausage and delicious steaks to wild game and fresh seafood from the Gulf. Tallahassee also features 28 sites including museums, galleries, public art sculpture, monuments and historic sites!
Where else in the Sunshine State can you pretend to be the governor,
peruse pirates’ plunder, and peer breathlessly at a daring young man
on a flying trapeze — all in the same day?"
