Financial Aid

Southwest Florida College participates in all Federal and State financial aid programs, including SEOG grants, subsidized and unsubsidized student loans and work study. In addition to meeting with an advisor to develop a Career Roadmap (which includes a financial aid plan), students should also fill out a FAFSA form. In addition to financial aid programs, Southwest Florida College also awards several in-house scholarships.

One of two campus locations, the Fort Myers location of Southwest Florida College is located at 1685 Medical Lane in beautiful Fort Myers. Staffed with knowledgeable faculty who are committed to the success of each student, the Fort Myers campus is a modern facility which features small class sizes, and a number of labs.

Established in 1886, Fort Myers is nestled along the scenic shoreline of the Caloosahatchee River and has one of the youngest populations in the County with a medium age of 32. It was also the home to the historic winter residences of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.

The historic downtown waterfront is now under extensive renovation with new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments and artistic venues making it a great place to live and go to school.

Encompassing only 540 acres, what downtown lacks in size is certainly made up in its abundance of charm and character. An eclectic blend of architectural styles serves as the backdrop to many unique shops, art centers, museums, live theater and restaurants.

Located on Estero Island, and often referred to as the world’s safest beach, Fort Myers Beach has a wide shoreline that gently slopes into the Gulf of Mexico. An absence of steep drop-offs makes it an ideal spot for family vacations.
