Whooo boy! I think I'm going to be in trouble in about a month!
My little sungold cherry tomatoes are coming in 4-5 per day. I usually just snack on those. I've only picked 2 regular tomatoes so far, but I'm going to have a BUNCH!!!!!! I also have a bunch of basil planted in with the maters.
I'm getting a meal per week from my 1 broccoli plant.
I have green beans galore, some peppers starting (bell, yellow, serrano, and Fresno), lemon and reg cucumbers, corn, summer squash (one was supposed to be zuccini), black beauty eggplant, leeks, onions lettuces. I have coming up from seed (I hope!) radishes, green onions, arugula and carrots. I have planted to start harvesting next year some asparagus (planted 2 yr old crowns)
Our big surprise this year was to let some volunteer pumpkins go ahead and grow! They are HUGE!!!!!! I have 2 that are at least 12"x8" across and growing each day! I don't know what type they are, so don't know if they are good for cooking or not.
You guys think I must have a lot of space for all of this! I do, but all of this is grown in an 8'x8', a 4'x8' raised bed, +a 3'x12' dug up bed for the corn and squash. The herbs are in a 3x3' bed and in pots and planters around the deck.
I know I'm a bit off topic, but I love to go out to the garden and PICK what I'm having for dinner! LOL Literally!
Happy cooking and eating! Nancy

My husband and I are hoping to have a small raised bed for veggies when we get settled in NC. Much better climate than FL, as far as I'm concerned. I need to do my planting zone research to see what'll be good for Central/Eastern NC.
