I received an email from Ebs who is moving to the DC and is looking for some local cooking classes. Here is what he says,

“Hello, I’m just moving to the DC area and I have a full time job, but I’m very interested in taking some cooking classes. I should probably begin at the bottom (though I do know how to cook, I wouldn't by any means consider myself a chef!!) but would like to consistently take classes. Could you recommend any schools or classes that might be good for a person like me?”

I did a quick search for some schools that include those below and will work on a bigger list when I have a moment but if you know of any, please add them to this post.

I can recommend l'academie de cuisine (http://www.lacademie.com) since I have known Chef Francois Dionot for several years and have spent many a weekend cooking with him. The recreational cooking school is located in Bethesda and the professional cooking school is located in Gaithersburg. They're not cheap though, but a lot of fun. Laughing

Good luck.
