Not a hard freeze, but some frost.
I stripped the basil plants today and made a ton of pesto! I freeze it and just spoon out what I need.
I'm afraid the tomatoes, peppers and eggplant will be kaput as well :( I'll have to get them chopped up and into the dehydrator in the next day or 2.
Looking forward to the winter veges! |

we had our first frost (light) last week - definitely running late for us.
in prior years I'd cover the tender stuff and we might get another week or two out of it, but when we got to November without a frost my garden (except for the leeks) was toast anyway. |

Last year we went into December getting tomatoes!
This year is supposed to be a more normal year (drought busting, I hope) and we've already started with the frost coming in right on time. |
