Do any of you give yourself a day off from cooking? Be it a day to buy something (pizza, burrito etc) or do a micro meal?
I'm guessing most of us on this board cook mostly from scratch?
I don't cook on Fridays. It might be a junk food day or a leftover day. Whatever! It's NOT my responsibility!
I got panninis from Safeway and soup, but we weren't hungry so just had the paninis. Soup tomorrow!
Happy Friday! NT |

now and then. it's not a "scheduled" thing.
used to be my wife would get a hankering for pizza (pizza isn't my fav . . ) but then I started doing home-made pizza and,,,, well, we don't get the chain pizza anymore.
I usually try for "no left-overs" - my 'night off' is using up the odd left off stuff [g] - I did a meatloaf and mac&cheese with white cheddar the other day. that's on tonight left-over slate. |

| I think it's a great idea to plan on one easy meal of the week whether it's pizza, leftovers, going out or something you put in the freezer for a rainy night. When we lived in New York City, Friday night was Chinese takeout and the X Files. We had a small apartment so we would sit on the couch in front of the tv and use an ironing board for our table. This way we could adjust it to the right height. Worked like a charm. |
