Lettuces (several), radishes, green onions, celery, asparagus (just one spear)

Oh! I was so hopeful back in late April! We had NO spring at all! Kinda jumped into summer then that stalled!
I'm getting a couple of zuks and a couple of crook necked squash per week (I like that slowness of the squash! perfect!), just a few baby green tomatoes (everything is at least a month late!)
The lettuce has bolted, so I just have a little to add to my first bought lettuce in months.
I'm sure we'll have a warming trend and I'll get EVERYTHING as soon as I go back to work in August! LOL |

My folks brought a bunch of zuks from Iowa. (They recovered from the heavy rains.) Also loads of wonderful tomatoes, all varieties, green beans, sweet corn & strawberries.
Starts from chives & wild garlic & mint I gave them starts of 10 years ago also made the trip. They brought me some chocolate mint too, so with the basil & dill I planted I have pretty much filled in all the spots that will support any herbs. Hope I can squeeze some lavender in with the roses next year though.
There is a roadside stand that has set up across the street selling peas. If they're still there after we get our leftovers eaten I'l check them out. The farmer's market finally started last week. Maybe I'll go this week but they probably don't have much yet. |
