Have relatives (AGAIN!), so NY steaks on the grill with taters and salad.
Probably grilling all weekend as ALL my siblings are showing up at our summer cabin on the Russian River! It's VERY rare that we can all get together at the same time! (OOOOOOH, but ALL those people in SUCH a small place!) I think last time we had this many together it rained 3"s! LOL

Most of the times when I grill steaks it’s filets, but last week one of the stores here in Lower Alabama had 8 ounce Angus Strip Sirloins, sometimes called either New York Strips or Kansas City Strips, for $3.99 each. I thought I would give them a try and they were sure good. Not as tender as a filet, but sure tasty :D . Not very thick so it only took about 3 minutes on each side for them to be a little more than medium rare. Next time I see them I’ll sure buy them again.

I usually check out the "meat wars" between several markets. It seems like about every 6 weeks or so, Safeway, Raleys and Lucky's all seem to have big time sales on beef and sometimes other meats.
We buy and re-package mostly beef, but also pork and chicken if the sale is good enough.
It helps the pocketbook going to the grocery store and not having that big meat bill each week!
