Yesterday DH's buddies came up to visit and BFF and her DH came over as well, so I grilled brats and we had Grillin' Beans, potato salad, cole slaw plus a couple of stray halibut steaks grilled with creole butter. Today, DSS and his wife are driving up and I am doing a beer butt chicken. Karen bringing tomato mozzarella salad plus there is still potato salad and cole slaw. I put rosemary sprigs in the half full beer can that the chicken sits on and wood chips on the grill also. I almost forgot ... we also had smoked salmon with saltines and chips and salsa before the brats, etc. last night!

Sounds great!
We went to the firemen's BBQ at our place at the river. I don't know how they can get ALL those chicken halves cooked perfectly!
Tonight I was going to have buffalo burgers (haven't had them since I was a kid), but they were out, so the butcher ground up some chuck and only charged me half price! I'll probably make garlic fries to go with the burgers.

Yesterday we had grilled pork chops, fried apples and skillet potatoes with onions. Kind of like the potatoes served as pass arounds at Lambert's.
I just sprinkled both sides of the Pork Chops with lemon pepper and grilled over HOT coals for about 3 minutes on each side. They came out just right............. :D Very tender and cooked just to the point of being done, but not so long that they are tought!

LADawg, I like to grill chops over a high heat also, and found that I get much better results that way, too. It took me long enough to figure that out!!
