How can I become involved in a career in nutrition without a strong high school education in the sciences? I have been accepted onto an undergraduate politics course in the UK, but have recently changed my mind about the career I want to go into. I am keen to complete my university politics degree, but without having completed basic high school or undergraduate science courses, how can I get involved in a career in nutrition? (I'm also keen to move to the US!)

| In the U.S all schools have guidance counselors on staff. I assume there is a similar counterpart in the U.K., perhaps they're called advisors. I think this would be the person most qualified to help you with these questions. They would know what prerequisite course you would need & could tell you what the licensing requirements are for nutritionists & dietitians as well as how they differ in the U.S. Good luck to you. |
