RG, I hate to see What’s for Dinner closed down, but like you said, there are so few of us that use it.
You asked for a recipe for what I like to call Real Baked Beans. I just posted one under the Recipe topic. You might want to give this a try.
While I was at it I also posted a couple of other bean dry bean recipes.

Well, I actually saw more posts on a daily basis on WFD, but it was usually Kell, Tullius, LADawg and myself. I guess we can post here with a WFD heading?

Hi LaDawg, thanks for pointing that out. I will give them a try and write about them on my blog.

Hi Nancy, yes there were only about 4 - 6 people actively posting on What's For Dinner and that's why I put it on hold. I would appreciate your not posting WFD topics under Cooking Discussions. In the future I'll see if we can get it started up again. Thanks - RG

Under the What’s for Dinner topic RG posted
“I took the easy way out and prepared the canned version although I too am looking for a great baked beans recipe from scratch.
I've got to tell you, there was nothing wrong with the beans I served with the ribs. Sometime short cut meals are necessary during the week.”

True, short cuts are necessary. With that said, I have eaten lost of what folks called baked beans that were made with canned beans. They added all sorts of things to cover this up, but to me they always tasted like canned pork and beans.

Well, I guess I'm gone from this board, then.
I thought WFD was the most visited board there was!
I don't understand why the most visited board is being shut down?!?!?
I'll check in from time to time, but This is it for me.
Love Y'alll!!!!!!!!!
Nancy

Hey Nancy ... just in case you check back .... I'll miss you and WFD. I guess if a thread entertains only a few, there's no justification for keeping it alive. I'm sorry to see you go.

Kell
