Last night I roasted an incredible fresh 3 pound wild striped bass and served a white wine from Australia by d"Arenberg called The Money Spider. This 2006 vintage is a Rhone style white that is made from 100% McLaren Vale Roussane grapes.
With peachy aroma and orange, honey and sweet grass on the palate, The Money Spider was perfect for the striped bass. Not a great sipping wine, you'll want to match this one up with a big meaty fish or veal dish. |

| Thanks for pointing out that it's not a good sipping wine. Some wines just really need to be paired with food for them to really shine. This one sounds really good; I've not heard of it before. Loving the name, though! |
