Well, got rid of the relatives that moved in for the weekend
I WAS settling in to have some soup from the freezer and salad with leftover crab, when my neighbor called offering chili. His GF takes off for Mexico for 3 weeks this time of year and he gets lonely.
I'll take the crab over as an appetizer.
Chili sounds warming. It's COLD here in sunny Ca!!!!!!! There was some rare snow in the area, and it didn't get above 45* today! That's a DAMP cold!
I'm guessing salad and french bread with it. Sounds good! |

| Monday was my now 10 year old daughters birthday so she got to pick her favorite meal which of course was filet Mignon with demi glace sauce and fresh artichokes. However, I had some beautiful scrod that I purchased and had to cook or stick in the freezer so I prepared a little surf and turf and the fish was delicious. |

| No Scrod down here in Lower Alabama, but lots of Guld shrimp. The only thing about it is that shrimp cost about as much here as it does at any other location in the country. But, man are good fresh gulf shrimp good!!!!! :D |

indeed. we lived in Jacksonville FL for a spell - go down to the docks - they'd fill your bucket for a buck. yeah, that was not recent . . .
stuff was outta-this-world. thought I was gonna sprout feelers and and a funny tail bone.
this week, first time in ten years I found "domestic" shrimp in our market - nd I _have_ been watching!
flash frozen, 10/15 count, $14 - 2 pound pkg - on sale from $25
bought two bags (I always keep froze shrimp & beer on hand . . .)
heh, Forest Gump needs to eat, no? |
