Programs of Study

Culinary Arts - Bachelor of Arts or Associate of Applied Science

Available as an AAS or BS course of study, the Culinary Arts programs at The Art Institute of Tucson equip graduates with the skill sets needed in order to pursue entry-level employment in various culinary fields. While the Associate of Applied Science program spans two years, the Bachelor of Arts program is more in depth, and is a three-year course of study.

The AAS in Culinary Arts program focuses on French other international cooking techniques. In addition, students will learn the basics of cost control, management skills, and modern restaurant cooking.

The Bachelor of Arts program expands on concepts introduced in the AAS program. In addition to the basic skills taught in all of the courses offered by the International Culinary School, this program offers students practice with cuisine from around the world, menu design, and other restaurant management skills.

Baking and Pastry - Associate of Applied Science

Available at The Art Institute of Tucson as an Associate of Applied Science program, the Baking and Pastry Arts curriculum is a well-rounded approach to education. Not only do students get intensive study in core baking and pastry classes, but there is an additional emphasis on general culinary skills and business. By combining these three fields, students are better prepared to create great food as well as successfully navigate the professional world. Upon graduation, students make seek employment as a pastry chef, cake decorator, manager, pastry cook, or in other related culinary positions.
