The Western Reserve School of Cooking was started in 1971 by Zona Spray. From 1971 to 1997 it was known as the Zona Spray School of Cooking.  In 1997 the school name was changed to the Western Reserve School of Cooking. Since then the school has had a few owners and is now owned by Catherine St. John. The school has become a Hudson institution over the years and has had many students, both professional and recreational walk through its doors.
