  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano or thyme chopped or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth and well combined.
  • Place meat in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and coat evenly with the marinade.
  • Seal or cover and refrigerate for the recommended time (see notes below).
  • Remove meat from marinade and shake off excess before grilling.

Notes

Chicken: Marinate for 1 to 4 hours. Great for juicy, tender chicken breasts or thighs.
Pork: Marinate for 2 to 6 hours. Perfect for pork chops or tenderloin.
Beef: Use on leaner cuts only; marinate for 1 to 3 hours. Avoid over-marinating as yogurt can break down texture.
