About Florida Technical College

Founded in 1982, Florida Technical College is a private college with five separate campuses within the state of Florida. FTC offers Associates degrees, Bachelors degrees, and diploma programs that are intended to prepare students for entry-level positions in the professional world.

FTC offers small class sizes to facilite indiviudal attention as well as a flexible course schedule so that students can fit their education into their busy lifestyles. FTC is a focused learning school meaning that students typically take just one course per month with one faculty member at a time.

About the Programs

FTC offers a 13-month diploma program in Baking and Pasteleria that is intended to teach students the rudimentary skills necessary to work in a wholesale bakery, bakery shop, and cake gallery. Some of the coursework includes learning basic culinary techniques, creating desserts, as well as developing decoration and detail-oriented skills needed for pastry design.

FTC also has a diploma program in Culinary Arts for students interested in possibly obtaining the skills required to work in a professional kitchen. The program is hands-on and is designed to be completed in 13-months. Students have the opportunity to learn about basic culinary techniques, the recognition of ingredients, as well as how to serve tables and organize a dining room.

Keiser University’s Melbourne campus is conveniently located by the interstate, and as an added benefit, it is only a half hour away from Cocoa Beach.

Florida Technical Colleges Kissimmee campus is a short drive from the Walt Disney World theme parks and is located right in the Osceola Square Mall, which includes enclosed shopping, a variety of restaurants, and specialty stores.
