Have You Seen This New Culinary Movie?
I have not seen Burnt yet but I'm looking forward to seeing it but I'm interested in hearing from those of you who have and what did you think of it. I've read some of the critic's reviews online but they are all over the place.
I'm really interested to see if Stephanie Merry from the Washington Post's comment, Adam’s disdain for seared tuna may do for the ubiquitous dish what “Sideways” did to Merlot, comes to fruition.
And then there's Brent McKnight from Cinemablend who says, There are too many fumbles, too many missteps, and the most interesting bits of the film are swept off the cutting board and into the trash.
From reading the official blurb,
Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) was once a top chef in Paris until drugs and alcohol led to a meltdown that put his career on hold. After moving from New Orleans to London, Adam gets a shot at redemption when his former maitre d' (Daniel Brühl) reluctantly hires him as the head chef of his fine-dining restaurant. Demanding perfection from his newly formed staff (Sienna Miller, Omar Sy), the acerbic and temperamental Jones gets a second chance to fulfill his dream of earning a third Michelin star.
it sounds to me like the character Bradley Cooper plays is not a very nice person but a very talented chef. Does this character remind you of any real life celebrity chefs?
